So much for the spending fast. A relative passed away this week, after a long illness. Although we’ll miss him, at least we feel that after his long illness he's finally at peace. Of course, we couldn’t worry about money during a time like this. You do what you have to do, and somehow make up for it later. Family always comes before money. We have spent a little extra on fast food and gasoline for the funeral, but it could have been much more expensive. Luckily, this was within driving distance, so there were no major airline or hotel bills.

Here’s the tally for last week:
Income: $82.00 husband’s second job (short holiday hours)
$46.00 (my online earnings)
$25.00 from son (repayment for concert ticket)
Total: $153.00
Expenditures: $ 5.00 pet license/tax
58.00 groceries
38.00 gasoline
17.00 fast food
Total $118.00
Remainder: $35.00*
*I had hoped to pay the power bill this week, but ended up having to save it until next week, and am trying to save some of this week’s income to help cover it. It won’t be late, but we’ll just eek by, paying it out of the part-time income.
What bills are you juggling this month?
